About Me:

I am a recent graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Originally a Computer Science major (CSC), I recently was "promoted" to be a member of an exclusive customizable degree program called Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies (LAES). After I was accepted at Cal Poly I noticed I had a passion for analyzing China's economic, political, and technological development as well as a desire to learn the Chinese language, and wanted to include it in my studies alongside computer programming. The major consists of two parts: an engineering concentration and liberal arts concentration, both of which can be customized with academic advising. I customized the LA concentration with a focus on Chinese language and culture. As for the engineering side, I stuck with Computer Science, specifically studying computer graphics programming. In addition to being an LAES major, I did not want to lose the "prestige" of my former college and thus applied and was accepted into the CSC minor program. Last December I returned from studying abroad in Shanghai, China, at Shanghai University, during which I spent a full semester, starting in August of 2010, studying Chinese and the business environment there.
